Interview with a New Five-Year-Old

Mommy:  What is your favorite color?

Isaac:  Let's see...there's blue, black, and brown.  (That's a total shock.  I've never heard him mention blue before.) 

Mommy:  What is your favorite thing to eat?

Isaac:  Pizza and hamburgers.  And I like salad, too.  (That's MY son!)

Mommy:  What's your favorite fruit to eat?

Isaac:  Watermelon

Mommy:  What's your favorite vegetable to eat?

Isaac:  Carrots and spinach

Mommy:  Where is your favorite place to eat?

Isaac:  Macaroni Grill

Mommy:  What is your favorite animal?

Isaac:  A dog and a horse and a frog.

Mommy:  What do you want to be when you grow up?

Isaac:  Probably an astronaut.

Mommy:  What is your favorite activity

Isaac:  Paint and color.

Mommy:  What is your favorite song?

Isaac:  Oh this is a great one!  (With a big smile on his face.)  O Come, O Come Emmanuel

Mommy:  What is your favorite toy?

Isaac:  Legos and Playmobil

Mommy:  What is your favorite time of year?

Isaac:  Christmas

Mommy:  Why?

Isaac:  Because of Jesus.

Mommy:  What is your favorite movie?

Isaac:  Cars 2

Mommy:  Do you want to be a daddy when you grow up?

Isaac:  I want to be a Daddy Astronaut.

Mommy:  Will you get married one day?

Isaac:  I don't know.

Mommy:  What do you want to drive when you get older?

Isaac:  A cool truck that can go fast.

Mommy:  What scares you?

Isaac:  Dark.

Mommy:  What is your favorite day?

Isaac:  Saturday and the day after that.  The two days that Daddy stays home.

Mommy:  How old is Daddy?

Isaac:  13

Mommy:  How old is Mommy?

Isaac:  13

Mommy:  What does Daddy do when he goes to work?

Isaac:  He works on a computer and a machine.

Mommy:  What does mommy do?

Isaac:  Cooks our breakfast and lunch, fixes our dinner, works on birthday parties, makes cakes, works puzzles with me.

Mommy:  What is your favorite subject in school?

Isaac:  Writing my name and phonics.

Mommy:  What is your favorite thing to do with Daddy?

Isaac:  I like to have light saber practices and play super heroes.

Mommy:  What is your favorite thing to do with Mommy?

Isaac:  Work puzzles and cook.

Mommy:  What is your favorite thing to do with Olivia?

Isaac:  Build Legos.

Mommy:  What is your favorite thing to do with Joshua?

Isaac:  Play with Playmobil.

Mommy:  What is your favorite thing God made?

Isaac:  Anna Belle.

Mommy:  Where does Jesus live?

Isaac:  In heaven and in my heart.
